About San Diego BioMed
San Diego BioMed is a non-profit biomedical research institute focused on finding new ways to accelerate medical advances that maintain health and improve quality of life. In September 2021, San Diego BioMed moved to a larger, state-of-the-art facility located in the heart of the San Diego science park area. This setting fosters cooperative partnerships, intellectual exchange, and shared resources within one of the largest concentrations of science, engineering, and medicine in the U.S. A regular internal/external seminar series helps investigators identify overlapping interests, write joint funding proposals, and coordinate research to maximize the impact of discoveries made. With no teaching and minimal administrative duties San Diego BioMed offers the opportunity to focus almost exclusively on independent research.

Candidates must bring active, independent extramural funding (such as an NIH R01, equivalent peer-reviewed federal grants, or major institutional/foundation grants) capable of fully supporting their salary and research program.
